Seung-ni Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a proven fighting art developed from traditional Jiu-Jitsu by the Gracie family of Brazil. Even though Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu contains standup techniques for winning a fight, it is famous for its devastating ground fighting techniques.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was specifically developed to allow a smaller person defeat a larger person by sophisticated application of leverage and technique. Gaining superior position on your opponent and applying a myriad of chokes, holds, locks and joint manipulations becomes the foundation for this fun martial art. Since most real fights end up on the ground, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsušs primary focus is taking the fight to the ground using simple takedown techniques, controlling and neutralizing your opponentšs aggressiveness, then manipulating him into a vulnerable position for a finishing technique. The U.S. has the highest rape and physical violence rates in the world. One out of every six men will be attacked and one out of three women will be sexually assaulted or raped in their lifetime. In a moment of crisis, Jiu-Jitsu could mean the difference between escaping an assault and becoming a statistic.

Because of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsušs unmatched success in events such as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and countless other No-Hold-Barred (NHB) events across the world, many law enforcement agencies and military branches have adopted it into their programs. Here at Seung-ni Jiu-Jitsu we teach the techniques, skills, and strategies that the legendary Gracie family has been teaching and using in Brazil for over 80 years, and first brought to America in the 1980šs. We will provide you with a professional, high quality training environment that will help you reach your goals.
